We open the school year with a foundation ʻōlelo noʻeau (Hawaiian Proverb) thinking deeply on how we live and share aloha with our friends, family, ʻāina (land), and community. Over the past two weeks kumu have shared their thoughts about this proverb and classes have been discussing how they live our school values, starting with how to they live, share, and welcome aloha in their lives. Please take a moment to discuss with your keiki their understanding of aloha and ways that your family shows aloha to each other and to the community.
