Malama Honua Public Charter School -

Nainoa Thompson, co-founder of Mālama Honua Public Charter School, master navigator and President of the Polynesian Voyaging Society, shared the history, vision, and mission of Mālama Honua- the WorldwideVoyage, Learning Center, and Public Charter School. The intent was to share and humbly ask for the board to consider accepting the school into the community. The end result was a heartfelt expression of support both by community kupuna as well as a unanimous vote of the board to support Mālama Honua Public Charter School to open its doors in Waimānalo.
