May 4, 2021 we celebrate our ‘first kindergarten class’ as they launch from Kualoa on their 6th Grade Sail with Kānehūnāmoku Voyaging Academy. They have been preparing for this voyage for the past 7 years with KVA and have all successfully defended their learning of our Mind of the Navigator skills. We celebrate their hō’ike- applying their knowledge on this 4 day voyage across the bay. Mahalo nui to our makua, community partners, KVA crew, MHPCS Board, and Kumu for all of the work and sacrifice supporting our keiki to get to this right of passage.
