The 8th graders were challenged to engage in the engineering process to create and then pitch their Air Powered Card to Papa Hoku, our Kindergarteners.
They engaged in the following engineering design process to create a Balloon powered car.
Step 1: Researching different car designs
Step 2: Developing a prototype
Step 3: Testing the air powered car
Step 4: Pitch the prototype.
The 8th graders not only learned about the Engineering Design process through hands-on activities, but they also improved their oral communication skills which they are building in preparation for 8th grade defense.
